OMS Movie Night

Everyone loves watching a movie under the stars, but how many can say they’ve watched a movie on their school football field? On Sunday, October 9th the Okoboji Community School Foundation teamed up with No Boundaries Middle School to put on a movie night to raise money to go towards field trips for students Pre-K to eighth grade. The team explored several ideas for fresh and exciting fundraisers before deciding on this event and they were so glad that they did! It was the perfect evening for friends and family of all ages to bring their blankets and watch The Little Giants on the scoreboard.

With over 175 people the team raised over $1600 after expenses for concessions were taken out. The team learned a lot about how much goes into planning an event, copyright, and marketing for their event! Group member Elliana Antoine states, “I learned how to work in a group a lot better. I also learned how to trust my group members with doing things and to know that they are capable of doing quality work. The best thing about this event was not only was it a beautiful evening but it was great to see the support from our OCSD families and friends!”
