Guys and Dolls
By Olivia Simington, 8th grade member of the OMS Marketing Team

The entire OMS student body attended Guys and Dolls, a lively musical that portrays the lives of gamblers in New York who have to decide between the joys’ of gambling or the joys’ of their “dolls”.

There were many participants this year from OHS, but the leads Trigg Heimdal, Izzy Gehrke, Madison Lambert, and Tyler Christenson, stole the show with their incredible acting and musical abilities. “The show was well cast and each of the students really got into their character,” noted TJ Simington (OMS educator).

Thespians and directors put countless hours and a lot of effort into making this show an outstanding experience for spectators. The cast and crew would stay after school for over three hours each day to get the set ready and to get prepared for opening night.

After talking to some of the cast members, it was easy to see that they loved every second of it! “The whole experience was very memorable and I met some really cool people,” said Declan Donovan (Freshman at OHS). Not only did the participants have fun, but the directors did too! “Working with the students every day and seeing them make the play their own was exhilarating! They did most of the work themselves and it was an outstanding performance!,” shared Zane Knudtson (Director)

The show was well attended and hearing all of the positive feedback from spectators was very encouraging for the participants. Congratulations cast and crew for a wonderful performance and thanks for inspiring the OMS students and the community!
